Al Hibbler
Born blind in Tyro, Mississippi in 1915.
His first released recording was with Jay McShann in 1943, then recorded with Duke Ellington from 1944 - 1950. His solo career commenced in 1946 and ended with his last release in 1984.
Al died in Chicago in 2001.
This site is respectfully dedicated to my Canadian friend Joe Degiorgio, possibly the world's most dedicated Al Hibbler fan.
